For the first time ever, KOH is hosting a winter retreat. That's right, 10,500' high in the Rocky Mountains in the dead of winter. There are few who have the strength to survive in such harsh conditions, do you have what it takes?! Minimum age to attend this retreat is 13. This is a pilot program so for the first year it will only be open to boys. Sorry girls, if it goes well and we find interest among the girls, we will open it up next year.
15-18 February, 2019 at the KOH camp. Travel day is Friday, 15 February. Saturday will be spent boarding/skiing at the KOH camp if we have snow. If you have never snowboarded behind a snowmobile, you haven't lived! If there is no snow, we will drive to Keystone and shred away the day. Sunday we will snow shoe up part of Pikes Peak and find a place to build snow caves for the night. That is right, we will be sleeping overnight, outside, in the snow. Monday (President's Day, everyone goes home).
if this sounds like a nightmare to you, then move on to the next event on the calendar. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, sign up! We are limited to 15 campers and 5 mentors.
it's time to get real!! Real cold probably, but non-the-less, real something.
