Horatio Taveau

Logistics and Transportation Committee

Sprague retired from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after 23 years of service. He was an Ordnance officer specializing in multifunctional logistics and commanded at the Company and Battalion levels. Sprague now works as a Department of the Army Civilian on Ft. Carson. Additionally he has been involved with Boy Scouting from childhood, having earned his Eagle Scout. He now serves as both a Cub Master and Scout Master. He loves spending time with his family which includes his four sons.


Dylan Tete

High Adventure Program Committee

Dylan graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 2000 and served five years in the Infantry that included one year in Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom). Upon completing his military duties, he moved to New Orleans and assisted with the City’s reconstruction efforts following Hurricane Katrina. Dylan worked with a non-profit agency called “Helmets to Hardhats” which is an organization that helps military veterans start new careers in the construction industry. He currently has a position with the New Orleans Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness division.


Dawn Rowe

Moms Program Committee

Dawn works in local government in California, as well as raising her two children. Dawn’s husband was U.S. Marine killed in Iraq in 2004, and her two children are blessed to be participants in the Knights of Heroes camps. She has been attending KOH since 2008 and has enjoyed supporting the other surviving spouses. Dawn now works with the Mom’s Program to help build relationships through planned activities, as well as help mentor and facilitate friendships with other moms and younger children who are experiencing a similar loss.


Katie McDowell

Girls Program Committee

Katie graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 2006 and is currently serving as a Logistics Readiness Officer. Her husband was an F-15E pilot who died in 2009 while deployed to Afghanistan. In her time away from work, Katie enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.


John Oglesby

Fundraising Committee

John graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1992. After serving 12 years active duty in the navy as an F-18 pilot, he now flies F-16s with the Air Force Reserve. During that time, John has done four tours of duty in Iraq. He also works as a pilot for Southwest Airlines. John tries to maximize his time with his wife and two sons.


James Lee

1st - 3rd Year Program Committee

Doug graduated from New Mexico State University in 1990. He currently serves at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs and will retire from the Air Force after more than 23 years of active duty service. Doug flew a variety of aircraft and served two tours of duty in Iraq as an F-16 pilot. Doug is an avid outdoorsman, husband and father of two.
