Steve harrold
Founder & Board President
He and his wife Suzanne have two boys, Jake and Tanner. Steve retired from the Air Force in 2015 after 21 years as an F-16 pilot. He now works with Lockheed Martin as a military contractor at Luke AFB in Arizona.

Dawn Rowe
Secretary
Dawn currently lives in Redlands, CA. Her late husband, Captain Alan Rowe, was an active duty Marine stationed in 29 Palms when he was killed action in Iraq in 2004. She is involved with local non-profit organizations, off-road desert racing, camping, and skiing. Dawn is the San Bernardino County Supervisor (3rd District). Dawn and her children, Blake and Caitlin, have been a part of the Knights of Heroes family since 2008.

austin grogan
Treasurer
Austin is a graduate of the Knights of Heroes program and has been a mentor for both the summer and winter camps since 2020. He is currently attending Texas Tech university studying accounting, with plans to graduate with a master's in accounting by 2025.

Danny Guy

Danny has been volunteering with Knights of Heroes since 2015 as a mentor. He has also been very involved with the work KOH has done with the programs we have offered the foster children since 2018.

John Oglesby
Member at large
John graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1992. After serving 12 years active duty in the navy as an F-18 pilot, he flew F-16s with the Air Force Reserve until retiring in 2014. He has done four tours of duty in Iraq and now works as a pilot for Southwest Airlines. John tries to maximize his time with his wife Holly and two sons Matthew and Cosmo.

Katie Groves

Katie lives in Georgia. Her late husband, CW3 James Groves, was stationed in Afghanistan when he was killed in 2013. Katie has been involved with Knights of Heroes since 2016 and both of her kids are graduates of the KOH program. Over the years, she has been willing to help in any way possible and a big supporter of the KOH mission. Katie is excited for the new direction Knights is headed and will continue to support the program wherever needed.

KIPLING (KIP) SHARPE

Kipling (Kip) Sharpe is an Orthopedic Surgeon in Gilbert Arizona. He received his BA from Westmont College in Economics and Business and Medical Education at the University of Southern California. His mother served in the Army in WWII and his father in the Navy in Korea. He is married to Martha and they have 5 adult children (2 boys and 3 girls), 3 of whom have volunteered at KOH. Kip and his family have been involved with KOH for 6 years. His pastimes are road cycling, skiing, scuba diving, and adventure travel. Having lost his own father at a young age, he knows the value of male mentors and is grateful for the opportunity to do that for others.

Paul Huffman

Paul served 28 years in the United States Air Force as a commander and F-15/F-16 fighter pilot. He retired as a Colonel in 2014 and now serves as an Instructor and Coach for the Center for Character and Leadership Development at the United States Air Force Academy. Paul is a 1986 USAFA graduate and holds an MBA. He lives in Monument, Colorado, with his wife Angela and two daughters, Madeliene and Aubrey. Fly fishing, skiing, golfing and classic cars are his favorite pastimes.
